International yoga day in 'Ladakh Corps'

Srinagar Thursday, 21 June (KNO) : International Yoga day was celebrated in all units of Ladakh Corps on 21 Jun 18. The day was special for the Indian Army as Sadhguru, founder of Isha Foundation was himself present at Siachen Base Camp and participated in Yoga with the troops.

Soldiers deployed at the highest battlefield of the world showed keen interest in learning various Yoga Asanas and meditation techniques. Indicative of our endeavour to maintain peace and tranquility, Indian Army invited Chinese troops to participate in the International Yoga Day on the borders of Eastern Ladakh for the first time.

20 Chinese soldiers participated in Yoga at Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO) on Indian side of Line of Actual Control. Various activities commemorating International Yoga Day 2018 conducted in Ladakh Corps on 21 Jun 18 will go down in the annals of history as a landmark achievement.
